Reflections
Milky way rising above Mt Bachelor captured on the night of June 20th 2023 along the shoreline of Todd Lake.
Due to the nature of my photography, each piece is a custom order for size and material.

Let me take you back to the night of Tuesday, June 20th.
My day began with a phone call from my sister at 4AM, saying these words
“He’s gone. It was peaceful”
That call was the capstone of a month-long roller coaster of emotions. The day, is a blur.
One thing I did focus on was capturing a very specific Milky Way scene. It’s something I have thought about for a long time. And my window of opportunity was declining. Thinking about it was a perfect distraction. Suddenly, it dawned on me, my life long photography passion began with a gift as a teen of my first Minolta film SLR camera.
I decided very late in the evening to go.
Seeking solace, I ventured into the darkness, making my way to the far shoreline of Todd Lake.
The air was bitterly cold.
I was determined.
Surrounded by stars, nature, and solitude, I composed my scene. When the Milky Way finally revealed itself, I captured this extraordinary piece.
This piece of art work is a compilation of 180 individual frames to create the final image.
I am elated to share this new addition to my Milky Way collection with you.

Is not just about the stars reflecting in the water.
It’s a reflection of the connection I feel with nature and my journey as a photographer and artist.
It’s a reflection of decades of dedication, unwavering passion, and endless artistic experimentation.
Moreover, it’s a reflection, on the day of my father’s passing, how his gift of my first camera, sparked a passion.
