Cross-country skiers will soon be circling Todd Lake, but not on this particular day. An early-season snowstorm has elegantly coated the trees and graced Mt. Bachelor with a pristine layer of snow. The artwork titled “First Snow” skillfully captures this picturesque scene using a technique called focus stacking. This involved capturing four images at different focal lengths, which were subsequently blended to attain a flawlessly sharp result, encompassing every detail from the foreground to the distant landscape.

An 8x12in matted (with mat, 11x14in) Giclée print (pronounced “zhee-clays”). Giclée printing is a state-of-the-art technique used for art reproductions and photography. I personally selected Epson Cold Press Bright paper, which has a slight texture that enhances the print and brings out rich, deep colors.
