Have you waken up at 4AM to climb a mountain?
Slowly climbing Tumalo Mountain through pine trees, by headlamp, the cold air hit my lungs as I made my way up the mountain.
After a while, there was a hint of light. A predawn glimmer before sunrise and color in the sky. It was here I turned off my headlamp and continued to climb.
As I reached a clearing, turning around, I could see Mt. Bachelor with my ski tracks rising from the forest to where I stood. A wonderful alpine sunrise with a glow of purples and pinks in the distance marked the start of a winter morning.
After enjoying the sunrise, I geared up for my first run of the day.
