With a dear friend, we left Bend, Oregon to explore Coffin Mountain and its early summer wildflowers. As soon as we set foot on the trail, we were greeted by a kaleidoscope of vibrant wildflowers blanketing the ground in a colorful tapestry.
Turning a corner, I came to an abrupt halt. The slope was covered as far as the eye could see with blooming Bear Grass. It was my first encounter with a super bloom, and I was astonished by the sheer beauty of it all. Little did I know that experiencing a super bloom was a privilege, occurring every 5 to 7 years.

An 8x12in matted (with mat, 11x14in) Giclée print (pronounced “zhee-clays”). Giclée printing is a state-of-the-art technique used for art reproductions and photography. I personally selected Epson Cold Press Bright paper, which has a slight texture that enhances the print and brings out rich, deep colors.
