In April of 2023, the Aurora made a captivating appearance in Central Oregon for the third time that spring. This year marked the beginning of a new solar cycle, increasing the likelihood of witnessing these enchanting Auroras for the next two years.

As I stood atop Lava Butte, an area between Bend Oregon and Sunriver, the sky above me was adorned with a mesmerizing glow that stretched as far south as the Mexican border.

An 8x12in matted (with mat, 11x14in) Giclée print (pronounced “zhee-clays”). Giclée printing is a state-of-the-art technique used for art reproductions and photography. I personally selected Epson Cold Press Bright paper, which has a slight texture that enhances the print and brings out rich, deep colors.
